单集文稿 ...

  • Hey English learners, welcome to another phrasal verb episode.

  • I hope you're doing great and that you're ready to learn a couple new phrasal verbs today.

  • It's raining outside, so you might hear some rain in the background.

  • Sorry about that.

  • So today we're going to look at the phrasal verbs come around and come out with.

  • So come around.

  • Means to be converted to another person's opinion.

  • For example, I could say he never came around to her point of view.

  • In this case, I'm saying that he was never converted to her point of view, to her opinion.

  • He was never convinced of it and never changed his mind about that topic.

  • So that's come around.

  • And then come out with means to make something available to the public.

  • For example, I could say the investigators are expected to come out with their findings tomorrow.

  • In this case, I'm saying that the investigators are expected to release their findings to the public tomorrow.

  • Like maybe they'll talk about them on the news or whatever.

  • They will make their findings available to the public.

  • They will come out with their findings.

  • So now I'm going to talk about a couple different things and I'm going to use these phrasal verbs again and again

  • so that you can hear them in different sentences so that you become more familiar with them and hopefully you 'll be able

  • to use them in your own sentences after this episode.
