单集文稿 ...

  • Hi there, this is Harry and welcome back to Advanced English Lessons with Harry,

  • where I try to help you to get a better understanding of the English language.

  • So anything that you need, you know where to contact me, www. englishlessonsviaskype. com.

  • I'm always very, very happy to hear from you.

  • And in this particular lesson, we're looking at an article that appeared in The Guardian newspaper.

  • And the article is called, You be the judge.

  • Should my partner stop?

  • Eating in bed.

  • Okay.

  • So we're going to read it a couple of times.

  • The first time I'll read it is to give you the gist of the article.

  • The second time I'll read it just for you to get a better understanding.

  • And then I'll explain some words and phrases that I used in this particular article by the journalist.

  • So you get a better understanding of how you might be able to use them in your own English.

  • Okay, now this particular article is a little bit light-hearted.

  • Some of the articles that we look at are a little bit more serious,

  • but this one is a little bit more light-hearted based on the heading,

  • you know, you be the judge, should my partner stop eating in bed.

  • Now, I have to make a confession here because I'm one of these guilty parties because I

  • actually enjoy having my breakfast in bed.
