Headspace Studio Hey friends, it's Rosie here.
Welcome to Radio Headspace.
A very wise person once said to me, you can't have a midlife crisis if you're constantly in crisis.
And right now, That feels so true.
Because here I am, somewhere between aging gracefully and Googling,
is it too late to become a backup dancer?
Wondering if I'm having a midlife crisis or just finally telling the truth?
You know, we used to think that the midlife crisis looked like a shiny sports car in a driveway,
a dramatic breakup, or a spontaneous move to Bali.
But what if it's quieter than that?
What if it's realizing your body doesn't bounce back the way it did in your 20s or 30s,
and neither does your spirit?
What if it's waking up one day and thinking,
how did I build a life that looks good on paper, but feels kind of off?
That's how it started for me.
Not a breakdown, a slow unraveling.
I wasn't spiraling.
I was just unsettled.
And then, like divine timing,
I read this article about how scientists used to track midlife crises using something called the U-shaped happiness curve.
