Hello,
today one of the BBC's most seasoned experts on covering foreign news made the point that there's something very strange about the US-Israel war against Iran.
And it's the fact that we as the BBC cannot report from the main focal point of the conflict,
which is Iran itself.
That's
because we're not allowed in there and also there's an internet blackout which means lots of news isn't allowed out of there.
So we thought we would try and address that kind of black hole today on Newscast by speaking to one of the friends of the podcast who works for the BBC Persian service and so he's absolutely steeped in the country,
its history and is spending basically every working moment trying to piece together what is going on.
And so that is what you'll hear in a big part of this episode of Newscast.
Hello, it's Adam in the Newscast Studio.
And hello, it's Jane in the Newscast Studio.
Please welcome back Siavash Ardalan, our colleague from BBC Persian.
Hello.
Hi there.
Yeah, what's it been like in your newsroom then, Siavash?
