Starting March 1st,
Beijing's brand new Great Wall Protection Regulation officially came into effect,
and it marks a major change in how the city safeguards or will safeguard one of the world's most iconic cultural landmarks.
The new regulation introduces smarter monitoring,
clearer responsibilities, long-term funding mechanisms,
and it also manages public access quite carefully as well.
It's a vision that blends law with technology.
with culture and also community as well.
