Who is really calling the shots over Iran?
The United States military began major combat operations in Iran.
When Donald Trump announced early on Saturday morning that the US had launched military strikes on Iran,
he made it sound like an American idea.
But on Monday, Trump's Secretary of State offered a different story.
The US actually got involved because Israel was about to attack Iran, said Marco Rubio.
And so the president made the very wise decision.
We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action.
We knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces.
And we knew that if we didn't preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks,
we would suffer higher casualties.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that he didn't drag Trump into war.
Donald Trump is the strongest leader in the world.
He does what he thinks is right for America.
Iran is committed to your destruction.
And whether people understand it or not, the leader has to understand it.
Donald Trump understands it.
You don't have to drag him into anything.
