17 分钟Hey English learners, welcome to another phrasal verb episode.
I hope you're doing well today and that you're ready to learn two new phrasal verbs.
The first one is chip in and the second one is churn out.
So first let's define these phrasal verbs and hear an example of each one.
Chip in means to contribute money, time,
or effort to something that a group of people is trying to accomplish or purchase.
For example, I could say, if we all chip in, we can finish the rest of the cleaning today.
Here I'm saying that if we all contribute, if we all do our part, we can finish the cleaning.
So we're all participating and contributing.
some of our own time and effort to the cleaning.
So that's chip in.
Churn out means to produce large quantities of something very quickly.
For example, I could say, it's amazing how many politicians that college churns out.
So here I'm saying that that college is constantly producing politician after politician.
This happens in the U.S.
Certain universities are known for producing many of the future politicians,
so they churn out politicians.
Okay,
so now I'm going to talk about a couple different things and use these two phrasal verbs again and again,
and so you can hear them used in different sentences,
