Police have been investigating allegations that he leaked Downing Street emails and market-sensitive information to the disgraced US financier during his time as business secretary.   • I'm joined by Archie Blan, The Guardian's head of national news.

  • We had the extraordinary sight of Peter Mandelson,

  • the former US ambassador, former cabinet minister under the previous Labour government,

  • former lots of things being led out of his house in Camden by police officers.

  • He was taken into a police station for questioning.

  • I think it's notable, first of all,

  • that there was a bank of photographers outside his home in the first place to capture those images.
