From The Times and The Sunday Times, this is the story.
I'm Manvine Rana.
In a packed hall at the World Economic Forum,
in front of an audience of global leaders waiting with baited breath,
President Trump addressed the issue everyone wanted to hear about.
Greenland.
Big, beautiful piece of ice.
It's hard to call it land.
It's that big piece of ice.
But even here, at Davos, it was clear that Greenland wasn't the only place,
or the only ICE, that are preoccupying the president's thoughts.
And then ICE gets beat up by stupid people from leadership in Minnesota.
We actually are helping Minnesota so much, but they don't appreciate it.
Most places too, you know, Washington, D.C.
Since the killing of a local woman, Renee Goode,
on the 7th of January by an ice agent,
thousands of Minnesotans have taken to the streets in protest.
You can feel the presence of militarized force in our city that feels dangerous.
It feels unpredictable.
It feels like a tinderbox.
