We're going to bring you some voices of defiance today,
the sound of those who refuse to be cowed in the face of violence from another country's military,
from their own country's security forces, and from a network of abusive men.
And we'll also head to northern Italy for the close of the Winter Games in an interview with the Winter Olympics' greatest ever athlete.
First, though,
we're heading to Florida and the shooting dead of a man who had attempted to breach the secure perimeter at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
President Trump wasn't there.
He was in Washington at the time.
Rick Bradshaw is the sheriff of Palm Beach County and gave this update.
They confronted a white male that was carried a gas can and a shotgun.
He was ordered to drop those two pieces of equipment that he had with him.
At which time he put down the gas can, raised the shotgun to a shooting position.
