Hello and welcome to super great kids stories.
Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes cry.
Recommended for ages 5 to 105.
I'm Kim and I love stories.
Today we have a beautiful story from Japan told by Alton Takayamachon.
It's called The Spiderweaver.
How are you super great kids?
I hope you're having a happy week.
I'm very pleased
because my little granddaughter Dorothy is visiting and I've enjoyed remembering all the nursery rhymes and lullabies which I used to sing to my children.
I chose a special lullaby for each one of them and they still remember them and they're quite grown up now.
It didn't always get them to sleep but it did make me feel a bit less worried when they were crying.
I wonder
if you have any little songs or lullabies which you could sing to your younger brothers or sisters.
I'm sure they would love it if you could sing a song that you know to them.
Now...
Another reason to be cheerful this week is that lots of you have been writing to say you're enjoying the Super Great Kids Story book which really puts a big smile on my face.
My local independent bookshop in Cobham in Surrey has invited me to tell stories for free.
on Saturday March the 21st at 11.30.
So if any of you happen to live near Cobham in Surrey and fancy coming to listen to some stories and maybe get your book signed,
