Russia has ordered a block on WhatsApp as the Kremlin continues to tighten restrictions on messaging apps.
Olga Yevshina from BBC Russian explains what is happening on the ground.
Russia has now blocked WhatsApp nationwide.
The Kremlin says the messenger won't comply with Russian law.
But in reality, it's more about Moscow's desire to control the narrative and its citizens.
Just to remind you, Russia has already blocked a long list of platforms,
including Facebook, YouTube, Weiber and many others.
