This week, for the first time since two people were shot and killed in Minneapolis,
the top official from U.S.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement, more commonly known as ICE, will testify in front of Congress.
Democrats are demanding changes to the agency.
They want to see stricter rules on the tactics used by immigration agents,
including a ban on wearing face masks.
and warrants signed by a judge before agents can enter private property.
Republicans say these measures could make officers less safe.
Meanwhile, the controversy over ICE has even spread across the ocean.
A protest broke out in Milan at the Winter Olympics in response to the presence of ICE agents.
They say they're there to support American security operations during the Games.
