I've spent the last three decades trying to better understand money across the boardroom,
the newsroom, and the trading floor.
That's longer than most podcast hosts have been alive.
But even I've got questions.
Join me, Maren's Upset Web, every week for my show, Maren Talks Money, from Bloomberg Podcasts,
where I have in-depth conversations with fund managers,
strategists, and experts about how markets really work.
And join me for a separate episode where I answer listener questions on how to make those markets work for you.
Follow Maren Talks Money on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever.
However, you listen.
The revelations about the depth and breadth of Epstein's worldwide web of contacts have cost several people their jobs,
one British royal his title,
and now they are threatening to bring down the British Prime Minister, Sakir Starmer.
That is because of his decision to appoint Peter Mandelson as the UK ambassador to the United States in 2024,
despite knowing, as Starmer admitted this week,
in Parliament of Mandelson's continuing contact and friendship with Epstein following the financier's conviction in 2008
for soliciting sex from girls as young as 14.
While Mandelson was sacked from his job last September after an earlier tranche of Epstein files revealed how close those contacts had been.
What is new in the latest documents is the allegation that Mandelson leaked market sensitive information to Epstein when he was in government during the global financial crisis.
