At the same time,
China's unilateral visa exemptions have made it easier for those who wish to come to China.
In 2025,
China welcomed 41 million visitors since extending its visa-free transit program up to 10 days,
marking a 27% increase year on year.
Travellers using the transit visa the program jumped by 60% compared with pre-policy levels.
So why has China suddenly become so cool?
How are these trends changing China's perception globally?
And is this just a fad or the beginning of a new trend?
