This is a CBC podcast.
Hi, I'm Damon Fairless, host of Hunting Warhead.
I want to tell you about what I've been working on for the past couple of years,
the next season of this series.
It's the story of a deadly corner of the internet, a place we're afraid to talk about,
where people go when they're precariously close to ending their lives.
where they find others like them, and others willing to help them die,
and a poison so obscure it was almost unheard of until it was linked to hundreds of deaths.
It's a story that's still unfolding.
In the coming months,
a Canadian man who is selling this substance will be tried for 14 counts of first-degree murder.
The murder of people he never met, people who took their own lives.
Police allege he's connected to over a hundred suicides around the world.
He'll be pleading not guilty to the charges against him.
But this trial is part of a much bigger picture, and soon we'll be bringing you that story.
I'll take you inside the global business of suicide,
and the online world people turn to when they can't find the help they need in the real world.
Coming later this year, the next season of Hunting.
