So today's episode of Newscast focuses on that huge dump of documents from the Department of Justice in the US related to Jeffrey Epstein and his communications and relationships with other influential people around the world,
particularly Lord Mandelson,
former ambassador to the US and former business secretary under Gordon Brown.
So we recorded the episode, dug into lots of the documents and what people were saying about them.
And then just as I was heading home,
we got an update on the story, which was the statement from the Metropolitan Police.
thing that they'd received several allegations alleging misconduct and public office,
and that they were now reviewing them to see if they met the threshold for a criminal investigation.
