26 分钟cutting through an overload of information to get to the heart of the story.
This is the point.
According to China Tourism Academy, China's eyes and snow economy surpassed 1 trillion yuan,
or about 140 billion US dollars in 2025, nearly four times its size just 10 years ago.
This growth is more than numbers.
China is breaking the mold.
Ice and snow are no longer limited to cooler northern cities and the business is no longer just seasonal.
Instead, it is spreading across the country and operating year-round.
It's also attracting attention from around the world.
International visitors are coming in.
And in growing numbers drawn to winter entertainment,
cultural experiences and global sports competitions, what has fueled this growth?
How has seasonal snow been turned into lasting momentum?
And why does it appeal to foreign visitors?
Welcome to this special winter edition of The Point with me,
Liu Xin, an opinion coming to you from the Chinese capital.
I'm pleased to be joined from Beijing by Liu Xu from the National Academy of Development and Strategy of Remy University of China.
From Hokkaido, Japan by Justin Downs, president of Access Leisure Management.
