The Trump administration announced it was suspending visa processing for 75 countries indefinitely spanning multiple continents,
including countries like Brazil, Egypt, Russia, Iran and Pakistan.
The change applies only to those seeking to live and work in the US Long term,
not tourists or temporary workers.

It's pretty substantial
because some estimates suggest that this could have a very wide ranging effect on legal immigration.
