Let's first take a closer look at Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's 2026 Africa tour.
He says China will accelerate the implementation of its zero-tariff policy for African countries.
He made the comments in Lesotho the final stop of his six-day tour of Africa,
which also took him to Ethiopia and Tanzania.
During the trip, Wang held a phone conversation with his South African counterpart, saying China,
together with South Africa and other global South nations are committed to upholding the UN Charter,
opposing hegemony and so-called law of the jungle practices,
and defending the legitimate rights of developing countries.
Wang also spoke with Somali Foreign Minister,
reaffirming China's support for Somalia's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
