The United States says it has seized two tankers linked to Venezuelan oil - one in the Caribbean and a Russian-flagged vessel in the North Atlantic.   • US troops, probably Special Forces, have been in action again.

  • This time it was to board and seize two tankers linked to sanctioned Venezuelan oil.

  • One of them was stopped in the Caribbean, carrying oil from Venezuela.

  • The other, much further away.

  • in the North Atlantic, south of Iceland.

  • And this one was bearing a Russian flag with Russian citizens on board.

  • However, it is reported to be empty.

  • Here's the US Defense Secretary, Pete Haggess.

  • Two oil tankers, two were seized by the United States of America,

  • stateless or sanctioned because the oil blockade,

  • the quarantine of oil out of unsanctioned or stateless, sanctioned or stateless vessels.
