As Donald Trump doubles down on his territorial ambitions for Greenland,
European leaders gave what sounded like a warning to the US president.
In a joint statement, France, Germany,
Britain and others declared firmly that the Danish territory is out of bounds,
saying only the people of Denmark and Greenland themselves can decide what happens to their land.
Speaking ahead of a meeting in Paris to discuss post-war plans for Ukraine,
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Denmark could count on European solidarity.
We are very keen for any potential disputes to be resolved through friendly dialogue between NATO members.
European solidarity and respect for the integrity of European states are fundamental issues.
