Whitbread said to me, well, she said, we've been having a chat.
She said,
we just wanted to know whether or not you might like to come and live with us as a Whitbread.
And I kind of like, are you for real?

This is the double Olympic medalist and world champion athlete Fatima Whitbread.
Her name as a record-breaking javelin thrower became synonymous with athletic excellence,
but it wasn't the one she was born with.
Fatima was abandoned as a baby and spent her childhood in a series of institutions.
It was her sports coach, Mrs Whitbread,
who would eventually provide Fatima with a new start in life, a loving family and a new surname.
This is Lives Less Ordinary from the BBC World Service with a story of motherhood and medals.
I'm Mubin Azhar.
Let me take you to where Fatima's career really became the stuff of legend.
