11 分钟Hi, happy new year or at least we're just about going to hit 2026,
the end of 2025, a time to reflect,
a time to renew our energies and plan what we're going to do in the coming year,
especially when it comes to language learning.
So I want to talk to you about my plans for 2026 and review a little bit of what I did in 2025.
So, where do I want to be in the year 2026?
As I open up my link page, I see where I have been for much of the year 2025, which is in Farsi.
I'm quite pleased with what I have achieved.
You can see the percentage of new words in these lessons is quite low.
It's comfortable for me to read them and listen to them.
and as I'll show you I stepped up my speaking
as I became more comfortable in Farsi I began speaking more so there's a sort of snowball effect you know you get better and better
as you understand more you want to speak more you get better at speaking and so forth but in the new year I've decided that I'm going to move into Arabic
as I shall explain so if I look at this And I look at my year in review,
you'll see that actually I dabbled in a lot of different languages.
Just curious, you know, we have Punjabi.
What is that all about?
But really I was only studying Persian, Arabic, Turkish, a little bit of Italian.
But overwhelmingly, Persian.
And I was in the top percentage of Persian learners.
