but Birdman company Jim Bean says it will pause production for a year at its main Kentucky distillery from January.
The company told the BBC the temporary shutdown will be used to invest in its upgrades at the site,
but the move also comes at a time of growing pressure on the American whiskey industry,
from trade tensions to changing drinking habits.
