Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on state-owned enterprises directly administered by the central government to better serve the overall work of the party and the country and contribute more to Chinese modernization.
He made the remarks in an instruction to the heads of central SOEs at a meeting in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday.
He called on state-owned enterprises to optimize their layout to build stronger capabilities and competitiveness.
