  • Authorities in Providence,

  • Rhode Island announced last night that the man they believe carried out that shooting was found dead.

  • Here's Providence Mayor Brett Smiley speaking at a press conference announcing the discovery.

  • The suspect was Claudio Nevez Valente,

  • a 48-year-old Portuguese national and a former student at Brown.

  • Valente's body was discovered in a storage unit in New Hampshire.

  • The Providence Police Chief, Colonel Oscar Perez, said that Valente had taken his own life.
