On December the 18th,
China's Hainan Province will officially launch its island-wide special customs operations.
Since Hainan began exploring the construction of its free trade port in 2018,
it has taken over seven years of preparations to reach this milestone.
Looking ahead to 2035, Hainan aims to fully liberalise and facilitate trade, investment,
cross-border capital flows, the movement of people and data in a secure and orderly fashion.
