First up, Our 20 members of Hong Kong's eighth term legislative council have been elected.
They include 40 chosen by the election committee,
30 elected by functional constituencies,
and 20 by geographical constituencies through direct elections.
They will begin a four-year term in January.
The central government has congratulated the SAR on this election.
The Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council says the election was an important achievement in the development of high-quality democracy in line with the one-country-two-systems policy.
