said Ukraine had his country's full support amid continuing peace negotiations in a joint press conference with Vladimir Zelensky in Paris.
Mr Macron later discussed America's mediation efforts with Donald Trump over the phone.
Earlier, Ukraine's president said tough issues remained to be ironed out.
American negotiators are in Moscow to press Russia for an end to the war.
The White House confirmed that Pete Hegseth, America's war secretary,
Authorised an admiral to conduct a follow-up strike on an alleged drug-smuggling vessel in the Caribbean in September,
calling it, quote, self-defense.
