Chinese President Xi Jinping has outlined China's principled position on the Taiwan question in a phone call with his U.S.
counterpart Donald Trump.
The Chinese leader stressed that Taiwan's return to China is an integral part of the post-war international order,
adding that China and the United States should jointly safeguard the victory of World War II.
President Xi Jinping also called on the two countries to keep up the momentum in bilateral ties and to keep moving forward in a right direction on a basis of equality,
respect, and mutual benefit.
