13 分钟Hello and welcome to the English Lycanator podcast.
My name is Anna and you're listening to Week 45, Day 2 of your English Fiver Day, the second season.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the days when I release a new Fiver Day episode.
Five days of the week I am feeding you with English vocabulary in context so that you can expand your vocabulary,
improve your listening skills and start to feel more like yourself when communicating in English.
Build a habit, commit to your goals and over time you will make progress.
So thank you for turning up today.
Let's begin today's episode as we always do with a snapshot of what's to come.
Amberlight spilled through the studio windows,
falling across a canvas scattered with half finished brushstrokes.
Marina worked in efficient silence, each movement deliberate.
Her paints lined up in perfect order.
After a moment's hesitation, She added one final touch.
And the sunset finally came alive.
Okay, let's dive into our vocabulary now, starting with the noun canvas.
Canvas.
We spell this C-A-N-V-A-S, a canvas.
A canvas is a piece of strong, rough cloth.
used by artists for painting on, usually using oil paints.
Or the canvas can refer to the painting itself.
