Well, now it's a Saturday when Boris Johnson's out.
Yes.
Well, he's out in the pages of the Daily Mail who pay him to do a column.
And he has used his column in the Mail today to lambast the COVID inquiry,
to basically say it was a farce, it was a waste of time.
It hasn't told us anything that we didn't already know about the terrible,
terrible events of 2020 and 2021.
The context, of course,
is that the inquiry was published on Thursday looking at the political decision making.
in Downing Street and it had some very, very brutal findings about the kind of shop that he ran.
And our guest on this Saturday newscast was at the heart of testimony on the culture of the misogynistic it is claimed and toxic atmosphere inside number 10.
Yes, so we're going to speak today to Helen McNamara.
It's the first time that she's spoken since the inquiry was published.
She's only very rarely given the odd interview.
At the time of all of this, she was essentially the number two in Whitehall.
She was the deputy cabinet secretary and as a result she was one of the people absolutely at the heart of the decisions that were made with an incredible eye witness,
memories and testimony of what really happened when those hugely important life and death decisions were being made on all our behalves.
So we're going to talk to her on this Saturday's edition of Newscast.
Hello, it's Laura in the studio.
It's Patti in the studio.
