Hi there, I'm Katrina Perry.
You're very welcome to The President's Path here on the BBC's The Explanation Feed.
Do follow and subscribe so you never miss an episode because each week here on The President's Path,
we walk back along the latest actions of President Trump and his administration.
This week, we are talking about those US strikes on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific.
I'm joined by my fellow chief presenter, Sumisoma Skanda,
and our assistant news editor, Courtney Subramanian.
Hey, guys, it's been a week.
Let's just put it that way and draw a line and move on.
Get on with the show.
That's a good idea.
Yeah.
because we've kind of touched on a subject over the last few weeks now,
but it might be a good idea to sort of draw it out a bit more.
And that is this issue of the strikes that have been carried out by the administration right on what they're calling drug boats,
narco-terrorists.
There's been a huge amount of pushback within both parties.
I think it's fair to say in this country and also from the countries where these boats have originated from most notably Venezuela and Colombia.
I would also mention that we're seeing some pushback from allies as well,
who are starting to really raise the alarm bells about this.
