so today we are reading another story for you about the Pacific Northwest because,
you know, it's important to know stuff.
Not everyone lives in North America and even if they did live in North America,
not everyone lives in the Pacific Northwest.
So, We thought we would give you a little bit of history, perhaps,
about what it's like here and some of the stuff that's happened here.
And now this story is partially for my friends who live across the pond in England
because we've got some commonalities here in this area and I can't wait to read to you this story.
It is called The Pig War.
It was written by Emma Bland Smith and it's illustrated by Alice and Jay.
And friends, I cannot wait to give you all the details because there's a subtitle for this book.
This subtitle says, how a poor kind tragedy taught England and America to share.
We must do that mustn't we?
Before we tell today's story, I do want to mention, just briefly, that we have patrons out there,
friends, people who help us make sure that we have new and interesting stories every single day.
And to thank them for their efforts, I would like to give them a shout out.
And Karen, you know,
there's just something to brotherly love and getting along that's pretty important.
So we hope that you enjoy today's story because I'm sure you guys definitely do those things.
