Hello and welcome to NewsHour.
It's coming to you live from the BBC World Service Studios in central London.
I'm Tim Franks.
We're beginning in the east of England
because that's where on Saturday night reports started coming in of a mass stabbing on board a train that was heading from Doncaster in the north to London King's Cross.
The train made an emergency stop at a station.
Police and paramedics were there within minutes.
10 people were taken to hospital to remain in a life-threatening condition.
Two men had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The police in an update this morning said there is nothing to suggest at the moment that the mass stabbing was a terrorist incident.
Oli Foster was one of the passengers on the 625 from Doncaster.
This is what he had to tell the BBC.
