Today, we look at the rearrest of migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu, and discuss what his mistaken release means for confidence in the government. Kebatu had been mistakenly released on Friday from HMP Chelmsford, where he was serving a 12-month sentence for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman in Epping, Essex. We also discuss an apology from Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, after she said: “it drives me mad when I see adverts full of black people, full of Asian people”. Labour cabinet minister Wes Streeting has called the comment racist. Pochin says “My comments were phrased poorly and I apologise for any offence caused, which was not my intention.” And we look at Laura’s interview with Former US Vice-President Kamala Harris, in which said said she was 'concerned' she did not ask Biden to quit the presidential race. • Now Rishi Sunak's out.

  • Yes, he has a fancy new job as a columnist for the Sunday Times.

  • Yes.

  • And did you read it?

  • I did.

  • Did you see what you mentioned in it?

  • Well, the thing I took from that article was rather than any mentions of anything or else or not,

  • it was the idea that Rishi Sunak,

  • who put taxes up again and again and again and again and again, saying,

  • ah, if you want to grow the economy, you have to cut taxes.

  • Yes, he did say that.

  • That's the body of the piece, but we're not interested in that.

  • Oh, OK.

  • We're interested.

  • All chance that there are experienced enough politicians to do interviews before the budget without revealing its secrets,

  • although when I did the job,

  • I did think appearing on the Sunday shows just before Budget Day was slightly absurd

  • as it mostly involves politely telling an increasingly exasperated Laura Kunzberg to wait for Wednesday.

  • Well, and can, as a result of that said exasperation expressed by many politicians,

  • if he was paying attention, last year we interviewed Rachel Reeves.
