  • Hello.

  • It's the big newscast related announcement you've all been waiting for,

  • which is not me and Chris taking over from Claudia and Tess on Strictly Come Dancing.

  • It is this.

  • Pudsy Bear of Children in Need has been in this very studio and he handed me an envelope saying,

  • here is your,

  • well, he didn't say anything because he's mute,

  • but the envelope said, here is your Children in Need challenge.

  • This year, it's all about doing things that are around about the number 25.

  • We're going to do a 25 hour long.

  • episode of Newscast,

  • which will start at 8am on Thursday the 13th of November and end at 9am on Friday,

  • and which you can join in by listening to live on BBC Sounds or watching live,

  • including the bits where I'm not off, on iPlayer.

  • And we will be joined by lots of members of the Newscast family.

  • So let's see how they react to what I've roped them into on this episode of Newscast.

  • And in the second half of this episode,

  • you will hear the conversation me and Chris recorded with Joe Pike and Alex on Thursday night,

  • where we reviewed the week's news.

  • But there was a piece of news we didn't have then, which we have now, which we're going to discuss.
