Okay art friends, so today we're reading a story called The Moon's Almost Here.
That's right, The Moon is Almost Here.
This story was written by Patricia McLaughlin and the art is by Tommy DiPaola and we've seen his artwork before.
He did a lot of stories that were like beautiful Italian folk tales.
Do you remember Strega Nona?
No?
Okay.
About the lady who had the pasta pot.
Do you remember?
Yeah, okay.
So, and this is his artwork here.
And you can tell that it's an Italian artwork because it's got this really famous mime in it.
And his name is Pero.
He is a very interesting character.
He, instead of using words, he uses his body to express himself.
That's what a mime does.
They don't speak.
They use their bodies.
But in this story, he also has a little boy who's with him.
And we'll see what this story is all about, shall we?
