  • Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro is accusing the U.S. of, in his words, fabricating a new war.

  • The U.S. is sending an aircraft carrier and its strike group to the waters off South America.

  • After conducting 10 airstrikes on vessels, the Trump administration accuses of carrying drugs.

  • Maduro has repeatedly accused the U.S. of attempting to drive him from power.

  • Tensions also rising between the U.S. and Venezuela's neighbor, Colombia.
