But there was no indication that Mr. Trump had suggested ways of ending the conflict that were totally unacceptable to Kiev.
Now, though, speaking to reporters on Air Force One,
Donald Trump has said the best way to resolve the war would be to cut up the country's Donbas region in the West
as things are now.
That would leave most of it under Russian control.
