transformative breakthroughs, and historic achievements.
Zheng Shanjie, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner,
made remarks while reviewing the country's 14th five-year plan period.
He highlighted that China has become a stable, reliable and dynamic force in global development,
achieving landmark milestones including a resilient economy and significant technological breakthroughs.
Over the five years,
China's economic increment is projected to surpass 35 trillion yuan or around 5 trillion US dollars,
contributing roughly 30% annually to global economic growth.
In the first four years, the economy grew at an average annual rate of 5.5 percent.
Meanwhile, record-breaking R&D investment has filled major firsts across aviation, shipbuilding,
clean energy, and space exploration, underlining China's innovation and industrial upgrading.
