Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called for building a more strategically stable and forward-looking China-France relationship.
He made a remark while co-chairing a China-France strategic dialogue with Emmanuel Bowen,
who is the diplomatic adviser to French president in the city of Hangzhou.
Wang Yi has called on both China and France to continue to deepen cooperation in traditional fields,
explore cooperation in emerging sectors, and tap into local cooperation potentials.
Bowen, for his part,
said France adheres to its tradition regarding independent diplomacy and opposes trade war or can-based confrontation.
