Hello, this is your Friday episode of newscast, which is going to be split into two halves.
The first half will be least to set,
giving us the latest on the situation in Gaza after the ceasefire and the hostage release deal.
And then the second half will be what we recorded on Thursday, where me,
Chris and friends of the podcast chatted over some of the other events that have happened this week.
And that's what's broadcast on BBC One after question time.
So that is the menu for this helping of Newscast.
Hello, it's Adam in the Newscast studio and let's go straight to Least Doucet, who is in Israel.
Hi Least.
Hello, Adam.
I just drove from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to speak with you.
Well, I'm glad you did.
So much has happened since we spoke on Thursday tea time.
I suppose if we do it in chronological order, the Israeli cabinet approved the deal.
It went late into the night, 1.30 in the morning here.
It first went to the security cabinet.
There was a lot of discussion
because the far right wing ministers in Prime Minister Netanyahu's security cabinet,
they made it absolutely clear.
They don't like this deal.
