My name is Anna and you're listening to week 38,
day three of your English Fiver Day, the second season.
I'm really glad that you turned up today because every day you turn up,
every time you tune in and listen,
you are building your fluency,
you're building your vocabulary and increasing your ability to be able to just be yourself when communicating in English.
So, well done and thank you.
And I won't delay any longer.
Let's begin as we always do with a snapshot of what's to come.
Lena begged her brother Charles to come to the art museum and he finally gave in when she offered to pay his admission.
He had always been too narrow-minded to enjoy modern art,
but he later admitted that some of the paintings were interesting.
By the end of the visit, Nina was completely in the zone, sketching the exhibits with focus and joy.
Okay, let's dive in to today's vocabulary.
Our first word is a noun and it is admission.
It could also mean the permission to enter a place.
I give you admission if you are admitted into hospital.
then you are given admission into hospital.
You're given the permission to enter the premises and become a patient.
