as he presented a new plan to end the war in Gaza.
Today marks two years since Hamas launched its shocking attack on Israel and ignited a brutal war.
The suffering in Gaza has been overwhelming and the hope of a ceasefire has been dangled again and again.
I think this meeting in Cairo is different from what we've had before
because this isn't simply a swap of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages potentially leading to a ceasefire.
This is a discussion about the future of Palestine as well.

negotiators assembled in Sharm al-Shaykh in Egypt to hammer out the 20-point peace plan announced by Donald Trump with Benjamin Netanyahu stood at the president's side.
