Chinese President Xi Jinping's exchange congratulations with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugartnam on the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
President Xi said China is willing to take the anniversary as an opportunity to further deepen political mutual trust and promote high-level cooperation.
He also called for jointly upholding the multilateral trading system and basic norms of international relations and advancing a more comprehensive,
high-quality and forward-looking partnership between China and Singapore.
The Singaporean president said his country will continue to work closely with China to promote their bilateral relationship to a new height.
Chinese Premier Li Chang also exchanged congratulations with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Friday.
