I'm Tracy Mumford.
Today's Tuesday, September 30th.
Here's what we're covering.
Ladies and gentlemen,
the president of the United States and the prime minister of the state of Israel.
Thank you very much, everybody.
So this is a big.
Big day, a beautiful day.
President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a joint appearance at the White House yesterday to unveil a new peace proposal.
If accepted by Hamas, this proposal calls for the release of all remaining hostages immediately,
but in no case more than 72 hours.
The plan includes an immediate ceasefire, as well as the return of hostages.
In exchange, Israel would release almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
Once that's done, Hamas members who decommissioned their weapons would be given amnesty.
The group would not be allowed to play any role in governing Gaza in the future.
I have a feeling that we're going to have a positive answer.
But if not, as you know, baby, you'd have our full backing to do what you would have to do.
