China has held a grand gathering to mark the 70s funding anniversary of the Xinjiang-Ugur Autonomous Region.
President Xi Jinping and a central delegation attended this particular event in Rumuqi,
along with local officials and representatives from all sectors.
Central delegation head Wang Huning addressed the scattering,
highlighting Xinjiang's achievements over the past seven decades.
On Wednesday,
President Xi Jinping attended a meeting with regional officials in Xinjiang calling for efforts to build a modern socialist Xinjiang that is united,
harmonious, prosperous, culturally advanced, peaceful, and ecologically sound.
