Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said he judged the central bank's interest rate stance as,
quote, still modestly restrictive, even after last week's rate cut.
That implies more wiggle room to reduce rates this year
if officials determine that recent softness in the labor market outweighs setbacks on inflation.
